1 Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass — Dzong, Bridge & Temple
Morning drive from Thimphu over Dochula Pass (3,116m) where 108 white chortens dot the ridgeline. Descend to Punakha for a guided tour of Punakha Dzong, built at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Walk the swaying suspension bridge. Afternoon stroll through mustard fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple. Return to Thimphu by evening.
